How to set up conversion tracking
Conversion tracking tells us when a visitor sent by a publisher completes the action you pay for. You choose one of two methods, a tracking pixel or a server-to-server postback, and our team helps you with either.
How it works
When a visitor clicks a publisher's link, we add a unique click ID to the visitor's journey to your site. You keep that click ID and send it back to us when the visitor converts. We match the two, and the conversion appears in the publisher's report.
Choose a method
Tracking pixel. A small piece of code on your confirmation page, such as the order complete or thank you page. It is quick to add and works well for leads and sign-ups. Browsers and ad blockers can block it.
Server-to-server postback. Your server sends a request to our postback address when the conversion happens. It does not depend on the visitor's browser, so it is more reliable. We recommend it for sales.
Set it up
Agree the method with our team. We give you the exact click ID parameter name and the pixel code or the postback address.
Save the click ID. When a visitor lands on your site with the click ID in the address, store it with the visitor's session or basket.
Send the conversion. When the visitor converts, fire the pixel or call the postback with the click ID, a unique order or lead ID and, for sales, the order value and currency.
Run a test conversion with our team. Check that it appears in the reports as Pending with the right amount.
Go live. After the test succeeds, we activate the offer.
Keep your data clean
Send each conversion once. A unique order or lead ID helps us ignore duplicates.
Tell us when an order is cancelled or returned, so that we can reverse the commission.
Mention tracking in your own privacy notice and cookie banner, as the law in your market requires.
